Orthopaedic waiting lists 'lengthy' admits Minister

The demand for orthopaedic treatment on the Island is currently outweighing the resources available.

That’s according to the Department of Health which says there are currently 69 patients waiting for hip replacement surgery.

A working group has been set up to see how waiting lists can be tackled with the department admitting waiting times are ‘lengthy’.

Minister Howard Quayle says measures are being taken to address the problem:
