Questions have been raised today as to why the Island’s Attorney General is still suspended from duty.

North Douglas MHK John Houghton queried the issue with the Chief Minister in Tynwald.

Allan Bell said Stephen Harding was currently under a ‘precautionary suspension’ to enable further investigation and consideration of disciplinary action.

All disciplinary matters are dealt with by the Island’s Lieutenant Governor on advice from the UK Ministry of Justice.
