School children on the Isle of Man are more actively engaged with history than their UK counterparts.

This week the 69th anniversary of the Island’s worst aircraft disaster was marked - in which 31 American service personnel were killed.

The American flag will fly on North Barrule until Monday to mark the tragedy.
