House of Commons looking to implement Tynwald system

Tynwald’s voice recognition system has attracted interest from the UK’s House of Commons.

Its Hansard team visited the Island to observe the transcription system – which is in operation in the Tynwald Chambers.

Following the visit the team will be looking to implement the system in UK Government select committees.

Ellen Callister is the head of Hansard Isle of Man - she says the Island’s use of the technology is seen as ‘best practice’ by many jurisdictions:
