Thousands expected to flock to Ramsey for 'Sprint Day'

Plan your journey, travel early and expect some delays - that's the message from the police ahead of Ramsey Sprint Day.

Thousands of people are expected to visit the town today with activities running throughout the course of the day, with the traditional Red Arrows display at 3pm.

Motorists are being advised to expect delays - especially because the Swing Bridge is out of action - with police officers on hand to direct traffic. 

Sergeant Andy Kneen is from Ramsey Police Station, he says it's undoubtedly the busiest day of the year for the town:
