Wheelie bins in Douglas to be microchipped

Wheelie bins in Douglas are being microchipped to see how much waste is being produced.

It’s part of a larger inspection of the condition of the bins which will see damaged units being replaced.

Douglas Council says it will not be an attempt to monitor waste disposal habits.
