Schoolgirl's inquest to open today

The inquest into the death of a 10-year-old schoolgirl who died after her family's car collided with a bus will be opened today.

Alexis French from Ramsey was killed on October 5th last year after the BMW she was travelling in was involved in the crash on the Castletown Bypass.

She was a pupil at Ballaugh Primary School.

Her family was also injured in the collision - her father was transferred to Walton Hospital for further treatment. 

Coroner of Inquests John Needham will open proceedings at Douglas Courthouse at 9.15am.
