Time limit for politicians in Tynwald

Stopwatches at the ready - the trial of time-limited speeches will be in place for next week's Tynwald sitting.

In March the Island's Bishop expressed a desire to have the limits imposed to keep debates focused and to the point.

The experiment will see 20 minutes allocated to moving a report, 15 minutes to move a motion and 10 minutes to speak or make an amendment - answering questions will be limited to five minutes.
