Scam victims urged to come forward

Victims of scams are being urged to come forward so that a picture can be built up of the type of fraud in operation.

The Office of Fair Trading says it wants to speak to anyone who has been targeted so that it can offer people help and advice.

In recent weeks a number of scams have been reported - the OFT says these are through all forms of communication including emails, social media and over the phone.

Fraudsters are becoming more professional and sophisticated in an effort to draw people, of any age, in.
