Home Affairs looking at remand system

The Department of Home Affairs is looking to further reduce the number of prisoners on remand.

Currently people are only held if they are a danger to the community or are proven to be prolific offenders.

However Minister Juan Watterson says the system needs to move forward faster, reducing the numbers held in order to save money and time for all involved.

He told us how it's been improved so far:
