Film critic Mark Kermode to host event tonight

The UK's premier film critic Mark Kermode will tonight host a special event at the Gaiety Theatre to mark the Isle of Man Film Festival.

Mark has manx parents and has long been a patron for the Island; particularly in championing our thriving film industry and the wealth of local film-making talent.

Tonight's event will see Mark tell stories and share insight amassed during his lengthy career as both a BBC and Observer film critic. His band, 'The Dodge Brothers' will also perform a live soundtrack to a silent film.

Speaking about the Manx film industry, he said he's confident it will go from strength-to-strength.
