Money sought for hazardous waste facility

£330,000 is needed for a new hazardous waste transfer facility in Braddan.

The Department of Infrastructure wants Tynwald to approve the storage and temporary safe point of collection for up to 2,000 tons of industrial waste near to the Energy from Waste plant.

Operating costs would be met by the companies storing the waste - Chris Allan is the general manager of aerospace company Triumph Actuation Systems - he told us why the industry needs it:
