MHK slams bank for being "rude"

Isle of Man Bank has been branded "rude" for giving government little notice of its plans to close three branches.

North Douglas MHK John Houghton has slammed the bank for only consulting with Treasury the day before the news went public.

The bank is closing the Onchan, Ballasalla and Prospect Terrace branches in February next year - two people are at risk of redundancy.

However Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says he doesn't see the problem:
