Wed, 12 Nov 2014

Firefighters had to remove the roof of a crashed car this morning in order to free the female driver.

Two fire engines from Castletown were called to the Phildraw Road just after 8.20am to the one vehicle collision.

The silver Mini One had left the road after crashing into a hedge causing considerable damage to the car and leaving the driver suffering neck and back pain.

Ambulance crews removed the woman and treated her at the scene before she was taken to Noble's Hospital for further hospital treatment.
