Island landmarks to go red for World Aids Day

The Isle of Man will be lit red today to mark World Aids Day.

The Government 'Wedding Cake' building, the Tower of Refuge and the Douglas Power Station are just a few of the Island's iconic landmarks that will be lit up to mark the awareness raising day.

World AIDS Day is about increasing awareness, fighting stigma, improving education, mobilising resources and raising funds for the global response to HIV and AIDS.

Tony Watterson from the local HIV Support Group has lived with the condition for the last 16 years, he's commended the level of care provided on Island for the illness:
