Police amnesty harvests 110 firearms and other weapons

110 firearms, a large amount of ammunition, knives and other weapons have been handed in to police as part of a weapons amnesty.

It took place during November in partnership with the Attorney Generals Chambers.

The Isle of Man Constabulary has thanked the public for cooperating and says it will now continue to enforce the law regarding the illegal and unlicensed possession of weapons.

Firearms manager Inspector Mark Britton says he's not concerned that the numbers are so high:
