Will Pre-TT Classic be moved this year?

Plans are in place to allow the Pre-TT Classic Road Races to take place on a Sunday.

Traditionally the races open the TT festival - running on the Billown Circuit over the Friday, Saturday and Monday.

However this year June 1st is not a bank holiday so race bosses want to run the event on Sunday the 31st of May instead.

A road closure bill has passed through the House of Keys and Legislative Council and is now awaiting Royal Assent.

If approved it means racing could take place between 1pm and 8pm.
