Island could 'lead way' on cancer treatment says Minister

There's economic potential in trialling new approaches to cancer treatment on the Isle of Man.

That's the message from Minister for Economic Development Laurence Skelly, who says BioMed is a growing industry for the Island - which could attract patients in need of treatment.

Bio-technology Professor David Onions visited the Island and presented a case for the industry last month; and was met by enthusiasm from the private sector.

Mr Skelly says the idea could benefit the economy immeasurably, as it has global implications:
