New charity launches to help adolescents with serious medical conditions

A new charity has launched to help young people tackle serious medical conditions.

Bridge the Gap is aimed at filling the space between child and adult healthcare - directed at helping youths with complex, chronic and life threatening medical conditions.

It was launched last night at The Courthouse by chairperson Fiona Barker and her team.

BtG's vision is to create a clear transition pathway for people up to the age of 16 with youth worker support and the creation of a dedicated adolescent unit.
