666Bet updates customers following multi-agency fraud investigation

Fri, 17 Apr 2015

Customers of an Alderney-licensed betting operator have been told that they should be able to access their money soon.

666Bet went offline in March, around the same time its director and Island resident Paul Bell was arrested as part of an investigation into money laundering and fraud.

The investigation has also seen a handful of further arrests made around the UK, Guernsey and on Island.

In a statement released by the company, it says the operator's payment providers have withdrawn their services, meaning customers are unable to remove money from their accounts.

The aim is to have the accounts unfrozen soon, so they're able to process outstanding customer payments.

No further updates have been issued on the progress of the investigation.
