Landing stage issue won't end with 'gun to head'

Government will not be faced with a "gun to the head" situation over the Liverpool landing stage.

That's the promise from the Chief Minister after concerns were raised over long-term access to the site on Pier Head.

Owner Peel Ports is considering options for its replacement as it has come to the end of its operational life - the Steam Packet uses the stage when operating Manannan.
