Will government introduce ability assessments for four year olds

Will the Island follow the UK's lead when it comes to baseline assessments on reception age children?

Plans are in place to test four to five year olds in the UK from next year, it's to determine their ability level.

Onchan MHK Zac Hall will ask Education and Children Minister, Tim Crookall in Tynwald next week, if there are any plans on the Island to follow suit.

Mr Hall explained why he wouldn't endorse such plans:
