MHKs protest removal of gas price discount

The decision to remove a long-standing discount for gas consumers not paying by direct-debit stands.

A two and a half percent discount for cash customers has been ditched in an effort to encourage more direct-debit payments and reduce admin costs.
 
Office of Fair Trading Chairman David Quirk was asked the question in the House of Keys yesterday by Onchan MHK Peter Karran.
 
He said all customers have been notified and there are no plans to make changes.
