Dog walkers asked to control pets around coast

Dog walkers are being urged to keep control of their pets on coastal footpaths after a lucky escape for one canine.

Harold - an Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier - had to be rescued by Port Erin Coastguard on Sunday after falling over a cliff at Bradda Head.

He wasn't injured, but duty officer Michael Macdonald says it's a timely reminder to all owners.

Mr Macdonald tells us it's important to get the right help if you find yourself in a situation like this:
