Councillor wants horse trams offered to government for nominal fee

Concerns have been raised about a Douglas Councillor's plan to offer government the chance to buy the horse trams.

Stephen Pitts will bring the motion to Douglas Borough Council today - he's proposing that it should offer the undertaking of the heritage attraction to government for a "nominal fee". 
 
Onchan MHK David Quirk says he's "perplexed" as proposals have already gone to planning.
 
The motion also proposes the council comes to an agreement for long term use of the land concerned with any undertaking - however this would stay in Council ownership.
