No plans for Manx meat concessions to restaurants

There are no plans to introduce a scheme to allow restaurants on the Island to purchase Manx meat on the cheap.

That's the message from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which says it wouldn't support an idea to sell meat at the price it's sold for off Island. 
 
Concerns have been raised that eateries on the Isle of Man need more help in order to encourage them to use local produce wherever possible. 
 
Minister Richard Ronan says variations in pricing could put the Island's meat supply at risk:
