Isle of Man hold onto Aa1 credit rating

Wed, 09 Sep 2015

The Isle of Man's Aa1 credit rating has remained unchanged following the latest set of results published by Moody's Investors Service.

In their report they said the strong rating reflects a stable outlook, the Island's resilient economy and government's robust finances.

The MIS also attributed the performance to the way the economy has diversified away from banking towards high growth sectors such as ICT.

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare welcomed the news but warned we must remain vigilant in maintaining sustainable public finances.
