Third candidate declares for Douglas East by-election

The third candidate to declare in Douglas East says she believes she can represent the needs, concerns and aspirations of all constituents.

57-year-old Geraldine O'Neill is standing for the seat left vacant by Brenda Cannell's resignation.

She was unsuccessful in gaining the seat when she stood in 2011 but says she has demonstrated the qualities that are necessary to work successfully in government.

Two other people have declared in the constituency - Clare Bettison and Jon Joughin.
