Change is coming say women spearheading paedophile law change

Two women who are fighting to ensure paedophiles on the Island receive tougher sentences say they believe change is coming.

Lisa Taylor and Sadie Sanders were both sexually abused as children - they've now bravely waived their right to anonymity as they fight to change the law.

They're spearheading an online petition which calls on the government to change sentencing legislation - so far it's been signed by over 2,000 people.

A recent meeting with Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson was described as positive although Lisa says they realise there isn't a quick fix:
