Minister says London prison can learn from IoM service

There's a lot of learning potential between the Isle of Man Prison and Her Majesty's Prison Pentonville in London.

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson paid his own way to visit the facility last week.

860 male prisoners are incarcerated at the site in Islington.

Reports by its chief inspector of prisons indicate that Pentonville is in need of major refurbishment and extra staff to have a "viable future".

Mr Watterson explains how the Island's service provides examples of best practice:
