Parking charges for government workers to go before Tynwald

Proposals going before Tynwald next week could bring an end to free parking for government staff.

From April workers would be charged an initial yearly fee of £192.50 - this would rise incrementally to £770 by 2019.
 
Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft has been a fierce campaigner for change since taking up the post in 2011.
 
She says schemes like this will help towards improving government relations with the public:
