For the second week in succession, Castletown Abbey hosted Fencibles as Castletown Abbey B team took on the visitors C team. Fencibles pairings Hollie Robertson and Leah Masson at second womens and Roberta Cannell and Sarah Buss at first womens started with comfortable victories over Claire Townsend and Sinead Stephens 21/6 21/15 and Lisa Watterson and Hannah Clague 21/16 21/7 respectively. At fourth mixed  Fencibles Weir and Masson took the first game but Thornley and Stephens managed to force a deciding game. In a game which could easily have gone either way, Thornley and Stephens won the third game rounding off the closest match of the evening 23/25 21/14 23/21, and levelling the overall match score at 6-6. Third mixed also required three games to find a winner.  Castletown/Abbey's Greenwood and Townsend came back after losing the first 20/22 to win the next 21/10, but Avery and Robertson claimed the win as they took the decider 21/12. Fencibles Ben Clague and Buss beat Coffey and Hannah Clague at second mixed 21/12 21/18 to secure overall victory for Fencibles, but Lyon and Watterson secured two more points for Castletown Abbey by beating Barnes and Cannell 21/10 21/19.  BW

This match saw St Ninians fielding quite a different team to last season with Sarah Corlett being the only player from last season, joined by Julie Thomas who has transferred from Selborne, and two players making a very welcome return to Isle of Man Badminton, former Junior Island Champion Ashleigh Keown and many times Senior Island Champion Cara Corlett.  Vikings women's team this season is very young with all players being juniors with a total age of just 64.  The match on the night was very evenly balanced with Vikings players Charlotte Dougherty and Kristina Buck beating Sarah Corlett and Julie Thomas 21/17 21/18.  This was followed up with a win for St Ninians Ashleigh Keown and Cara Corlett 21/17 21/20 over Emma Nicholson and Georgia Foxton.  There were then comfortable wins for Sarah Corlett and Cara Corlett and Nicholson and Buck.  This left St Ninians with a slender lead of seven points going into the final two matches, which they increased to a win by 20 points to give them two  points and Vikings one in a well fought match.
