Sat, 14 Nov 2015

A Douglas man has been charged with drugs offences after sniffer dogs intercepted a parcel containing cannabis which was due to be delivered to his address.

26-year-old Andrei Ivanici appeared at Douglas Courthouse this week - he chose not to enter pleas to charges of being concerned in the production of cannabis and possession with intent to supply.

Police stopped a package at the post office on September 23rd - DVD cases inside contained the drug which had a street value of £1688.

Committal proceedings will take place on January 14th - he has been bailed in the meantime.
