Welfare reforms need supervision by politicians, says MHK

Radical reforms to the welfare state must be supervised by politicians - because Treasury isn't "levelling with the public".

That's the message from Douglas West MHK Chris Thomas - he's grilled Minister Eddie Teare on progress following the Ci65 report.

It's an issue he's raised in the House of Keys.

Mr Thomas insists it would have been better if a Select Committee report was compiled instead:
