Local woman's efforts to help refugees continue

A Ballaugh woman who's been helping during the refugee crisis in Serbia is asking people on the Island to think of those who are suffering this Christmas.

25-year-old Ayren Kelly has spent the last three months volunteering after encountering the situation first hand whilst backpacking across Europe.

She says refugees have been caught up in a "political game" and the world needs to understand why they're seeking "freedom, dignity and justice". 

Ayren is now due to travel to Greece where the team she works with is helping those classed as the "forgotten refugees" - the pharmacist is hoping people here will also try and make a difference by donating here:
