Alternative sentencing sought for drug crimes

Police are continuing to disrupt the supply of drugs onto the Island. 
 
That's according to Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson who says the department is seeking deterrent prison sentences for serious drug crime.
 
It's also looking at alternative methods of dealing with offenders at the lower end of the scale.
 
15 arrests were made at the Island's ports last year for drug-related matters with substantial amounts of cash also being recovered:
