Police dealing with unexploded WW2 device in Ramsey

Police have cordoned off parts of Ramsey after an unexploded device from the Second World War was discovered.

It was found on Mooragh Promenade near to the BMX track and water pumping station during construction work this morning.

The promenade has been closed between Premier Road by the Ramsey Park Hotel and the bottom of Grand Island Hill.

People have been told to avoid the area and take notice of signs and barriers - however Inspector Derek Flint says people don't need to panic:
