No plans to bring in 'unworkable' estate agent law

There are no plans to bring in "unworkable" legislation to govern estate agents on the Isle of Man.

That's according to the Office of Fair Trading which says it won't be implementing the Estate Agent Act of 1999.

Responsibility for it was passed on from the ex- Department of Local Government and the Environment but it has never been enforced.

David Quirk who was quizzed on the matter in Tynwald earlier this week - he says work to impose something else instead has also failed so far:
