Horse trams to run despite planned fifty-thousand pound deficit

Horse trams running at a £50,000 deficit isn't "an unreasonable investment".

That's the admission from the Minister for Infrastructure after it was announced the tourist attraction will appear this summer due to an advertising flop.

The trams were featured in promotional material - the move is described as a 'short-term' solution over the summer season. 

The Department of Economic Development, Manx National Heritage, Culture Vannin and the Heritage Railways say they'll cover the cost.

£75,000 has been laid out on the service in the last year - Phil Gawne says that's promising:
