Crashed Snaefell tram to be 'pieced back together'

The crashed Snaefell tram will be 'rebuilt' - despite extensive damage.

Reports suggest the empty No. 3 carriage rolled down its tracks without breaking - it derailed and tumbled down just north of Bungalow station.

Workers on scene have been collecting pieces of the carriage so that it can be rebuilt.

Director of public transport Ian Longworth says this type of re-construction work has been carried out in the past:
