Kevin Oates won the first round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s English Sporting summer league at Blue Point on Sunday, kindly sponsored by Harding Lewis Limited. Juan Cowley was second with Steve Brew taking third place.

Results:

A Class: 1, Kevin Oates 44; 2, Juan Cowley 43; 3, Steve Brew 40.

B Class: 1, Ben Richards 39; 2, Phil Butler 36; 3=, George Davies and Paul Magee 35.

C Class: 1, Jake Brew 36; 2, Peter Chadney 33; 3, Jordan Dougherty 26.

This week at Blue Point there are three competitions: 100 Olympic Trap selection shoot; 50 Olympic Skeet league. Both of these are sponsored by Absolute Scaffolding. The 50 Sportrap league is sponsored by Dave and Pam Corlett. Entries for all competitions close at 10.15am
