Man arrested at airport charged with drug offences

A 29-year-old man is due in court today accused of importing cocaine to the Isle of Man.

Police arrested him at the airport on Saturday - a subsequent search revealed he was concealing the drug internally.

Officers recovered around three ounces of the Class A substance which they say has a maximum street value of £6,000. 

The man, who is from the west of the Island, was charged yesterday and will appear at Douglas Courthouse this morning.
