Mixed opinion on whether framework will derail post plans

Creating a framework for corporatising public sector entities isn't about grinding the Post Office plans to a halt.

That's according to Douglas West MHK Chris Thomas.

His motion was carried in the House of Keys to introduce a Private Members' Bill - which will see the process regulated in the next administration.

16 members voted for the Bill, with six against its implementation, believing it may be used as a weapon in an attempt to negate Post Office plans.

Mr Thomas is looking to work with legal drafters and officers to formulate it:
