Warning over school grounds as vandals strike

Sat, 21 May 2016

Police are hunting vandals who destroyed a sheltered seating area at a Douglas primary school.

Rubbish was set on fire at the Anagh Coar site in the early hours of Tuesday - officers say the damage it caused has had an "obvious cost impact" for the school.

With the summer holiday period approaching police are warning people if they abuse school grounds - which are generally left open - they could lose them.
