Bikers urged to respect roads after multiple crashes

Bikers are being urged to respect the Island's roads after the first death of TT 2016 on open roads. 
 
Yesterday a 55-year-old man from Bolton died after crashing at Hailwood's Rise - he'd collided with the back of a car being driven by a local resident. 
 
Another biker was also seriously injured after being clipped by a motorcyclist at Keppel Gate - the crashes led to the Mountain Road being closed.
 
Sergeant Barry Hand works in the Emergency Services Joint Control Room - he says people aren't taking enough notice of the road safety messages:
