Local revellers account for spike in TT arrests

Police say it's "disappointing" that so many TT revellers are waking up in the cells the morning after the night before.

Between Friday and Monday they arrested 37 people - Acting Sergeant Alan Shimmin is in charge of custody says 90 per cent of those involved alcohol.

One of the incidents dealt with was described as a "violent altercation" which left two men in hospital - two people were arrested and have been bailed.
