Students benefit from expert advice during 'Healthy Eating Week'

Young people on the Island are getting expert advice about healthy living as part of 'Healthy Eating Week'. 
 
Pupils from the Island's secondary schools are being given access to their school nurse, a nutritionist and dentist during their lunch break. 
 
The annual event is organised by the British Nutrition Foundation and aims to raise awareness about diet, healthy eating and drinking. 
 
This year the focus is on sugar - students are being shown an App which can scan the barcode on food and drink packaging to show the sugar content. 
 
School nurse Jayne Platt says energy drinks are being widely consumed but youngsters are unaware of the high sugar content:
