Incapacity claimants receive Treasury apology

Treasury has apologised to incapacity claimants who were assessed by an unregistered assessor. 
 
The department has said sorry to the people who were put through the controversial process which reviews their benefit payments.
 
Eddie Teare was forced to apologise to Tynwald in June after it was discovered he'd made false claims about the people carrying out the work for Dependability Limited. 
 
Critics of the company had been preparing to support a Tynwald Motion calling for the contract to be stopped however it was pulled on advice from the Acting Attorney General. 
 
Eddie Teare is due to provide another update at this month's sitting and says until then he can't say anything further:
