Work to start on 'comprehensive' road safety strategy

The Isle of Man needs to invest in a comprehensive road safety strategy in a bid to reduce the number of crashes on our roads. 
 
That's according to the Chief Constable who says officers will be working with partners to bring in a single plan for the future. 
 
Figures released this week show a 14 per cent rise in fatal and serious injury collisions on Island roads compared to the three year rolling average. 
 
Inspector Derek Flint is leading the project and says it isn't just the police who will have input:
