Students praised for overcoming adversity

Students who've faced 'considerable adversity' have been commended for their determination in achieving positive exam results.
 
GCSE results were published on Thursday - the Island secured an overall pass rate of 98.7 per cent. 
 
Teenagers at one school have been praised for their achievements after their English teacher died shortly before the exam period.
